“Went in for a front tyre. Got told that the other front tyre was illegal when it still had at least 2mm depth on it. As a driving instructor and an a mechanic in my previous work I knew what I was on about and it seemed like they was trying to get an extra sale. This was said in front of my student that was just about to go on a driving test so then I had to reassure her that the tyre was okay.

Also got told that it was a high quality tyre. The tyre was a budget range tyre.

Grateful that the tyre that I needed doing could be done before the test. But not happy about the tyre fitter trying to get a extra sale telling me it was illegal. When he should have said it?s going to need changing soon which would?ve been accurate.”
