At Luscombe's we conduct a full health check on every vehicle brought into our workshops for servicing and our latest innovation allows our technicians to video any problem areas which they detect.
The aim of the service is to enable customers to see exactly what the technician in the workshop sees and be able to authorise any work that needs to be done – all via email if the customer requires.
Says Robin Luscombe, This visual inspection of critical components such as tyres, brakes, brake fluid condition, oil leaks, wipers, body damage etc helps our customers stay safe and keep their vehicles fully maintained – With the introduction of a personal video presentation, the customers can now see what the technician sees and make an informed decision accordingly. The video is either emailed to the customer if required or alternatively is shown when the customer comes to collect their vehicle.
So far we have received fantastic feedback from customers, who say they love the convenience, transparency and honesty – they really can watch our mechanics checking the depth of the tyre tread and brake discs etc – It allows them to make an informed decision about their vehicle's requirements whether the work is to be done immediately or at a later date.
