“My wife was returning to Guildford when she had a puncture on the nearby M40. She visited Protyre in Protyre Warwick when they advised on fitting a new tyre to replace the punctured "run-flat" tyre. In the event we chose to have a matching pair of rear tyres fitted which was done after a short wait whilst the tyres were collected from a nearby supplier.
Unfortunately, the nearside mirror of the BMW was damaged when they were reversing out of the tyre bay, but again after an hour's wait, the company fitted a small temporary replacement and agreed to source and pay for a new BMW replacement which we have now had fitted at a local Protyre depot in Guildford.”

This was all booked through the website and using Reg No i.e. it new the spec of the vehicle but website not aligned to each service stations capability grrrrrreat!!! Had to go elsewhere for MOT etc. Service good website shocking don't trust it.”

If you don't do bookings what is the point of having a booking system?”

“Protyre Emscote Road have been very good in the past. Most of the staff are very helpful and informative. This recent experience though wasn't so good. I was supposed to be contacted regarding the price of a job and this didn't happen. A worker from Protyre in Rugvy was drafted in Wednesday 4/12 due to sickness cover. He seemed really negative and moany about having to do this. He seemed very negative about certain aspects of working practice at Emacote Road.
James was very helpful and skilful in sorting our heating problem so thanks very much for that.

“Although I booked a time slot, I had to wait for the two tyres to be changed – it took 50 minutes from the time it was booked in. I asked for the front and rear wheels to be swapped at the same time, but was incorrectly informed by person on front desk that it would mess up the TPMS. I checked with Mini UK who confirmed all it required was a TPMS Reset – had to go elsewhere to have the wheels swapped at extra cost and inconvenience.”

“They were helpful but they could not get the tyres I needed that day and I had to return the next morning. The tracking was on need of adjustment (hence the tyre wear) but the could not do that because it had to be done by the car dealership. When I arrived I had to wait for 45 minutes before being served because the computer system was down. When I left I couldn?t be given a receipt/invoice because the system was still down. They could still take my money!! On arriving home I discovered that they had not properly inflated the tyres.”

“It was well and fast, but it is my second time in the garage and the 2 times the same issue. The operator has grease in his hands and he is leaving marks on the steering wheel, on the doors, handles…..at least if they are not using gloves, they should clean the marks they are leaving, so the customer cannot see it.”
