“Tyre & Auto Hayling did a grand job fixing our steering column. We had a problem with it a few months later and they offered to look at it again and fixed it for free, getting a replacement part that was still under warranty. We didn't even have to ask!”
“I cannot praise the service I recieve from Tyre and Auto enough. The recent MOT an service I had was a typical example of how high I rate you, I had booked a full service and MOT but just after I returned home from delivering my car for the work to be done I recieved a phone call to say I did not need a full service this year as I had that last year all I needed was an interim service, now it is awful to have to say it but there are other companies who would just have done a full service and charged, this is why I trust you.Yes although the car passed the MOT there was a recommendation that the brakes would soon need doing so I said while you have the car do them and it cost me over £600 in total but how much more if it had been a full service.”
“Nothing wrong with the service but also nothing special, I don't really feel obliged to go back as I do if ive recieved exeptional service from a company.
I had a loyalty card that when I called up to ask about it was told that it was no longer valid but that I could get some money off for the inconvienience however this didnt happen when I came to purchace the tyres as they had already matched their online price which was the lowest price they could offer.
That being said the price for the tyres I was after were the cheapest price I could find, even cheaper than black circles even if it was only by a few pounds per tyre.
Took a fair amount of time to get the job done but the wheels did need to be aligned and they were very busy on the day I decided to get mine done, probably down to the good value they offer.”
“My BMW E39 was taken to the Protyre Hayling Island branch for a MoT. The MoT resulted in a failure due to "excessive wear to rear o/s wheel bearing", a "non-operative headlamp washer pump" and an exposed end of the coax aerial cable (readily fixable in seconds). The car was then taken to an independent BMW specialist for a second opinion. No excessive wear was found in the bearing and the fuse protecting the pump had been removed. An offer to provide a quotation for the repair of the "worn" bearing and "inoperative pump" was offered by your branch staff but none was forthcoming. As no work had been carried out on the car since the same branch carried out a MoT last year the absence of the fuse is puzzling. It has been suggested to me that I should give Protyre a wide berth for all future MoT requirements. I invite you to undertake an investigation into what has also been suggested as a case of "work generation" and to revert with your findings.”
