“Island Tyres replaced all 4 tyres which was correct, but failed to identify the fact that the brake pads required replacement: this was identified 2 days later when the car was taken for its MOT. This is a safety issue.”

“This is a very busy tyre centre but they gave excellent customer service, the staff were polite and through. Tommy had remembered things we had discussed on the phone when I booked. The engineer came and discussed the issue with me and I was really happy with the swift and efficient service. I highly recommend Protyre Isle of Wight.”

“As ever the staff were helpful and informative. The car needed a new part so they had it for 2 1/2 days, when I collected it after the service, MoT and repair I was supplied the list of advice, including replacing the brake fluid. I would have willing had that done at the same time if they had sought my opinion and saved the inconvenience of having to book my car in for the one relatively easy job.”

“This is my tenth year as a customer at Island Tyres.

The service has always been friendly, helpful and efficient.

My latest tyre requirements weren't in stock when I called, but were delivered first thing in the morning. I was able to leave the car overnight so it was available as soon as the tyres arrived. I was called promptly to advise me the car was ready for collection.

Excellent service. Many Thanks!”

“Took in for a slow puncture tyre OSF. They rang to warn about very low tread state and offered a new tyre with choice of two prices (I chose the higher but am sure the lower priced tyre would have been fine too). Sorted and fitted within a very few hours. Subsequently realised I had been warned about the low tread 6 months earlier by a servicing garage so am relieved it was done properly instead of a 'quick fix'!”

“Whilst on holiday I got a puncture I called into the branch spoke to a fella named Ben who was very helpful. He took my details and said there was a little wait which wasn?t a problem we got asked if we would like a drink . I waited about half an hour then my car went in. I had a new tyre replaced it seemed a friendly atmosphere in there. The fellas I spoke to were very friendly. Excellent customer service and friendly.”

“I have always had good service from the guys at Lake, up until now I had only purchased tyres, but I decided to have my car MOT'd there as it was a good offer, again excellent customer service, I dropped the car off in good time and they rang when it was ready, as I didn't want to hang around, they rang a lot sooner than I anticipated. All was ok with the car and I breathed a sigh of relief!! Keep up the good customer service guys.”

“Reasonably quick service but I had to put the wheel cover on properly afterwards as it had not been refitted correctly by the technician which I should not have had to do.

Also my name keeps being spelt incorrectly (it does not have an 'e').

My previous visit (first experience) was however much worse as the garage were unable to properly track my vehicle despite several return visits and resulted in a complaint and eventual refund.”

“My Merc dealer in Newport does not sell tyres and recommended I came to you as my left hand front tyre was badly worn ontheoutside. Lee inspected the car and confirmed that the tyre was illegal due to misalignment of the track.
To my pleasant surprise he said you could fix it right away. The work was completed in an hour – two front tyres were fitted – and I drove happily away thinking what a fantastic service I had received. Well Done!”

“Was booked in for 10:30am. On arrival, was told that due to staff illness, changing two tyres would take two hours, rather than the one. Was given the choice of hanging around for 2 hours or returning at 3pm for a normal service. On returning at 3pm, the work still took them 1 hour and 45 minutes. I even had to hurry things along as I was concerned that I would be late picking up my daughter from school. There was no urgency at this place.”

“I called to get a price on 2 tyres which were a good price.I was told to come in that afternoon and i could have them fitted.I arrived and they said there was one car in front of me and i was next in line .Ten mins latter and my car was being taken in,good i thought soon be out of here.Oh no 2 hours latter i was still waiting it even took them 15 mins to sort my bill out and i still didnt get a receipt after that .Over all service was very slow and poor”

“I was very impressed with their customer service.
They came across as very professional and helpful. Two young girls came in for advice and the sales person told them they were being taken advantage of and explained why. He then informed them what they would do.
Woman often get taken advantage of in garages as they are noted for not understanding anything about cars.
Island cars have restored my faith in looking after woman.
I will go to them in future.”

“This was my first visit to Island Tyres.
After I had explained that I had unfortunately curbed the car the assistant took a look at the tyre.
He was very friendly and made me feel welcome. He was very clear in his explanation of what was wrong with the tyre.
After the work had been carried out by the fitter, l left there a very happy and satisfied customer.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Island Tyres in the future and would certainly use them again.”

“I was very happy with the attention to the car for the service and MOT, but disappointed when I checked an item of work that I had been told had been completed but was not. The tyre jack had NOT been freed and was still very firmly fixed by rust. When I asked another mechanic to free the bolt he had to snap it as it was so tight. Luckily this was not when I had my next puncture and was out on the road, as I would not have freed that with the tools I have in the car.”

“As always, Island Tyres is very efficient in their work and speedy service, and they charge lower prices than competitors. On this occasion, I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed that they worked on and finished my car's MOT – before – the arranged starting time of 1pm. That was a nice unexpected but welcome extra to their service. I am a returning customer, this time with a newer car and will be making use of Island Tyres' services again in the future. :)”

“On booking my car in for MOT I was told the time taken would be about 45 minutes. In fact it took an hour and a half with much of the time the car was up on the ramp with the bonnet up and the lights flashing but no examiner in sight.
My car was failed on one tyre witch supposedly had the 'core exposed' and two tyres which were perished. I would like to have been shown the faults as they were not visible to the eye of a one time ford technician who is now retired and disabled (me).”
