How long does the process of mediation take once both parties have agreed to participate?

Once your dispute has been allocated to the mediator, the session itself will generally take up to two hours, to allow ample time for each party to communicate their side of the story, and for the mediator to discuss any key points.

Individual meetings with the consumer and business hosted by the mediator, which take place leading up to the joint session, will usually last between forty-five minutes to an hour.
