I have a problem with a motorcycle repair, what can I do?
If you have experienced a problem with a motorcycle repair, The Motor Ombudsman may be able to help.
The Motor Ombudsman can look at disputes involving motorcycles where the repairer, retailer, or manufacturer is accredited to one of The Motor Ombudsman’s Codes of Practice.
If your motorbike has been repaired or serviced and something has gone wrong, the first step is to raise the issue directly with the business and give them the opportunity to put things right. If you have fully exhausted the business’s complaints process and are still unable to reach a resolution, you may be able to refer your case to The Motor Ombudsman.
The Motor Ombudsman provides a free and impartial alternative dispute resolution service to help resolve disagreements between consumers and accredited businesses.
You can check whether a motorcycle manufacturer, retailer, or service and repair centre is accredited by using The Motor Ombudsman’s Business Finder.
Further information on how to raise a complaint about a motorcycle repair with The Motor Ombudsman can be found here.
