Kelly Young joins Motor Codes, as network growth continues

Motor Codes appoints network sales and marketing manager

Kelly Young has been appointed as network sales and marketing manager for Motor Codes, the UK-wide, OFT-approved garage scheme.

In a newly-created role at Motor Codes, Kelly will lead a strategic approach to communicating the business benefits achievable through commitment to Motor Codes. Kelly joins Motor Codes following a sustained period of growth for the self-regulatory scheme that has seen use of its online garage finder increase substantially and the introduction of a number of tools enabling subscribers to monitor the increased business this brings them.

Formerly regional business development manager at Unipart, Kelly brings a wealth of experience in the independent aftermarket – an area in which Motor Codes is expanding, with the non-franchised sector now accounting for 20% of its current subscriber-base.

Welcoming Kelly, Motor Codes managing director, Chris Mason, says, “Kelly has a strong commercial focus, combined with hands-on experience of delivering value across a growing garage network. I’ve no doubt that Kelly will play a central role in driving growth both for Motor Codes and its individual subscribers.”

Focusing on the transparent, consumer-led marketing approach adopted by Motor Codes, Kelly commented, “Having already seen the effect of online garage ratings across one independent network, witnessing how social media and online reviews increase consumer confidence and, therefore, business, I’m really looking forward to taking this concept out to the wider car retail and service and repair world, helping expand the network of trusted garages for UK motorists.”
