Motorists offered fairer deal on tyres and servicing

Today, Blackcircles.com announced that motorists using its network of 1,000+ garages will have the additional reassurance provided by automotive industry regulator Motor Codes.

Over the next 12 months, the company will insist that each of its 1,000+ garages and fast-fit outlets subscribe to the Motor Codes ‘Service and Repair Code’, ensuring greater peace of mind for motorists.  As the UK’s leading online tyre and servicing provider, Blackcircles.com is already widely known for its service standards and customer savings, this latest development will reinforce this with an official industry stamp of approval.

“The customer experience is paramount to our operation, so underpinning our benefits with the reassurance of Motor Codes standards further enhances our credibility,” said Michael Welch, managing director of Blackcircles.com.  “We recently expanded our offering to include vehicle servicing and with the addition of Motor Codes, we’re demonstrating to our garages and customers that we’re committed to maintaining high industry standards.”

The Motor Codes team will work with Blackcircles.com to ensure all of its outlets are up to scratch and remain that way.  RAC inspectors carry out regular garage checks and the Office of Fair Trading monitors standards to make sure customers always get a fair deal.

“The ethos of Blackcircles.com fits perfectly with the image and standards that Motor Codes promotes,” said Chris Mason, Motor Codes director.  “Already there’s a Motor Codes garage in almost every major town and city in the UK, so the addition of the 1,000+ Blackcircles.com garages simply enhances the capability of the industry to offer the high standards customers expect.”

Backed by government, consumer bodies and industry, Motor Codes provides ‘safe haven’ garages for motorists and an environment where they are treated fairly.  The Garage Finder tool at www.motorcodes.co.uk provides a searchable nationwide database of over 6,500 garages that are committed to best practice.  The key benefit of using a Code-subscribed garage is that in the unlikely event of something going wrong, Motor Codes provides a free advice line (020 7344 1651) and conciliation to sort out any problems.
