“Previously I have always had good service. This time less so. Initially they didn?t spot a nail in my tyre when I went with a slow puncture and sent me away again. I returned when it still went down, made an appointment as they didn?t have my size tyres in. When attending the appointment had to wait 30 mins before they even looked at the car (why book an appointment). The staff behind the desk were helpful though and kept me updated. I did feel sorry for the young lad behind the desk as one of the mechanics clearly had a problem with him and his attitude was nigh on bullying. Not something customers should have to witness. I just hope the company are dealing with it.”

“My appointment for 2 new tyres was at 10:00, I went for a walk, came back, sat down for a while. After 90 minutes I asked how it was going and the car had not even been started! Apparently the job was put on the wrong board!”

“I asked them to look at tyres (slow puncture) and battery ( dies if car left for a while) . Took ages and I had to phone in the end. But there was no comment on either tyres or battery. First time I have been kind of let down and disappointed really.”

“I ordered for three tyres to be fitted and went to get them fitted and so they fitted the back two but didn?t fit the front drivers side which was in desperate need to be replaced as it had a bulge in the tyre. After I had been told that it was all done I saw that the back two where done so didn?t even think to look at the front one however if you have paid for a service you expect them to carry out the work. After fitted I then had to drive to Bournemouth it wasn?t until I got back and got out of my car I saw that the bulge was still in my tyre and how dangerous it was that I can?t believe that my car was allowed to leave the garage with out being checked”

“I went into pro tyre on Saturday afternoon with a tyre rapidly losing pressure as I had clipped it on a curb the day before. I was hoping to be fitted in that day but I thought that may be pushing my luck a bit. I explained to the man on reception what had happened and he went out to check with the mechanic to see how busy they were. An mechanic came straight in, took my keys from me and began to work on my car. I popped to the shop and returned to my car with a new tyre. Amazing, quick service.”

“Whilst looking online the prices were very competitive, however when I phoned it was confirmed the online price was correct but once I'd attended for my tyre change I was told the price would be more. I had to accept this, as due to work commitments I couldn't rebook a further appointment.
After my two rear tyres were replaced the next time I drove the car on the motorway I had a worrying warning light about the pressure in my tyres and had to revert straight back to the tyre garage. I had to wait a further 30 minutes and it turned out they had to reset the pressure on the cars computer. I received no apology just told 'it should be okay now'. No comfort when I do a lot of motorway travel!”

I had a slow puncture they took my wheel off of the car, they found the puncture, ordered a new tyre on Saturday(as I wanted the same one low profile tyre that I had)and it was fitted on Monday. “I visited the Fareham branch to book my car in for a silver service and break replacement they said they could do it straight away, which I agreed to.
After the service I had to return the car the following day as the 'service need soon' appeared again. They cleared the fault but is has returned yet again.
What am I to do?”

“8 am appointment to fit 2 new tyres. I left 1 hour and 50 minutes later. Not what you would call quick service
On a previous visit for a service the oil filter seal was damaged. Consequently I lost most of the oil covered the underside of the car and ruined the tarmac on my drive”

“I waited for an MOT and after an hour and a quarter I had to ask if it was ready. The papers were in front of him? Other than that, good.”

“Booked mot online that worked great, dropped vehicle 15mins before mot time was due, got told to come back in one hour, which I done 3/4 hr later I was still waiting I got told they are waiting for the results to come through (I have never had this from any other garage), the vehicle failed cost was approximately £600 for repair.
Agreed for the repair dropped of on date and time requested, I had to phone late afternoon as I never got any updates on when my vehicle was ready.
I got told it would be completed by 15:45, I arrived and it was just coming off the MOT ramp, I still had to wait another hour for the results and paid for the repairs.
Driving home the brakes was very spongy and pedal almost on the floor. I got told if the pedal does not return to normal in 2 weeks bring it back and we will change the brake pads and shoes.
I was not happy with this and took it to another garage, they found the brakes were not bleed properly and dangerous, nothing wrong with pads and shoes.”

“Terrible communication – having been told that I would be called back with regards to timing of my repair, I had to make two calls to get some decent information. In addition, quoted prices at the garage exceed those quoted online so I had to ask for a reduction to match their own website.”

“The guys at the garage did a fantastic job and are always polite and helpful but the pricing policy doesn't match the customer service. I saw the tyre and price online and phoned to make sure it was in stock. My wife came home and had been charged nearly £30 more for a single tyre and why? All because I hadn't quoted the online price at the time of checking availability. This is nonsense and makes no sense and I'm not the first person to have experienced this. Protyre really needs to be consistent in its pricing policy so that it's clear for all. Thanks again to the team on the frontline for the fitting.”

“Computer systems were not working causing delays at the centre. I was quoted one price for brake pads and discs at the centre and got an online quote for £70 less online for the same centre. Makes me question the price I paid for the work done.”
