“Took my car for an mot ended up keeping it for over 24 hours, I had to keep calling for updates. They said it would be done either that evening or the next day at 3pm and then didn't call me again. I asked for my oil leak to be fixed and they didn't do it. I went to pick it up the next day at 11 and it still was not ready they called an hour late for it to be collected. When I got there they tried to make pay 30 pounds more than I got quoted. When I said I would pay the quote only the guy I. The shop said he would do me a favour and let me pay that which was still only the original quote. Poor communication and poor service. I will not be using them again”

“They dont reply to customer emails, Plus try to overcharge customers! Told mot failure work would cost £280 I told them that was a silly price for one rear shock absorber and rear brake pads. They then said they could do it for £214 I said I would get back to them as still to high. They told me rear brake pads to change took 1hr plus 1hr to do the shock ? They told me the labour cost was £50 an hour (fair for a hours work) went home priced parts and saw a you tube vid in real time changing parts the shock took 14 min inc putting car on ramp and taking out boot trim it was held on by two nuts only then went back and again challenged them and agree on a price of £174 and the work was done the following day . I have used this garage for six years plus sent other but not any more”

It took 2.5 days to replace tyre & ball joint never had a phone call I had to keep ringing them! Live close by & each time I passed all staff were having a fag break at the same time .”

“Protyre quoted a price and then lowered it to price-match another quote I had, they didn't have the particular tyre in store but they ordered in for a same day replacement.

I asked if it was possible to have a repair instead, once they had the tyre off they took me in to the garage to explain why it couldn't be safely repaired. Then they popped the new one on and didn't charge for attempted repair.
