“I recently had a puncture on my Corsa which Southam Tyres Tyres kindly looked at and repaired for £25. A couple of days later the tyre was flat again and when my husband took it back to yourselves the mechanic who looked at it said that although the tyre value had been repaired the tyre had not, there was an un-repaired puncture in the tyre. The inside of the tyre was completely shredded and full of tyre crumb, essentially the tyre should not have been put back on the car. The tyre was replaced by Southam Tyres Tyres with £25 off the price. The staff are always helpful and obliging when I come in and I have always been more than happy when we have used you in the past and hile I can understand that sometimes mistakes happen, I have been driving around in a car that is dangerous. The tyre should have been checked thoroughly.”
“Really good service, was seen within the hour (albeit I had made a booking and already purchased tyre of choice online). Staff were friendly & helpful, giving me the choice of a new tyre or a repair. Waiting area was comfortable with free coffee and WIFI. Price reasonable. Will definitely be back. “My car failed it?s MOT and I was told that the work would cost £510 to repair fully and £290 to get it through it?s MOT, I went elsewhere to get the work done and got the full repairs work done for £300, this is a huge difference, after speaking to a number of local people and garages I have heard that Southam Tyres Tyres has a reputation for over charging young people and females.”
“I was waiting for at least 15min at Reception for someone to turn up.
When they arrive, they then moaned that I was 30 mins late turning up and that the work may not be possible due to other work that was booked in.
I do not understand why Southam Tyres Tyres closes at 2:30pm on a Saturday when the team are clearly struggling to keep up with the amount of work.”

There was tread left on other tyre but it had a puncture repair so decided to change both.

“Easy to book online and straight forward when I took my car in. Friendly staff.
My car did need a repair and I was a little disappointed to receive a quote of £195. When I called a couple of other local garages I was quoted £105 and £111 which was quite a big difference.
All in all I was happy with the MOT side of things but felt that I was massively over quoted for the repair.”

Perfect while they were fitting the fronts,mentioned I'd better look at the rears, they were near the limit. Another couple of weeks 3 points per tyre plus £ 100 if pulled by the police. “Really good. Checked what tyres you had available for my car on the website. Recommended tyres were the ones I wanted and what the vehicle came with so the correct recommendation. Went along in the morning, they said to leave the car with them which I did at lunch time. All sorted by the end of the day. Great turn around. Really appreciated considering I got a puncture the day before and was on my space saver spare wheel.”
“Tyre fitting fine,but tried to rip off my wife saying there was metal to metal contact on the rear brakes and the pads needed replacing at a cost of £240, when I checked the pads did not need renewing and there was no sign of any metal contact. This is shady practice and an example of how organisations such as yours rip off unaccompanied females. For your information replacement pads only cost £20 and take less than 2 hours to fit, so goodness knows where £240 to fit them comes from”
“As previously Southam Tyres tyres provided a friendly and efficient service. I took my car in a day earlier than it was booked as that suited my arrangements and was then phoned to be told they had managed to start it early and I could collect it the next morning. They had warned of a potentially expensive problem but during the work found a way round it thus saving me several hundred pounds.”

A. Although you put the same make (Continental) on the 2 rear tyres when you replaced them, you put on a different different tyre type to those that remained on the front. This was not mentioned at the time and I should have been asked if this was acceptable.
B. And your technician omitted to put on one of the dust caps and I had to return to have this done.”

“Poor from start to finish. Two days before I turn up and 3 after I order and pay online I get a ?not sure your tyres will be here on the day ? message. Then a promised call back didn?t occur . Then I get a message one day before to say you have 3 of the 4 tyres. Then when I rearrange the day,the greeting at the desk is poor. And the wait so long I have to again rearrange my day of fitting to another day….”
“First time I have used Protyre in Southam Tyres. They were very efficient but I felt let down on pricing honesty. I was quoted £110 per continental tyre for a fiesta. I queried this as I recalled paying a lot less previously elsewhere but was told that was the price. I later checked the web site and they were £80 and Kwik Fit £62. Not sure I would use them again as I do need to trust suppliers I use.”
“I originally booked a service and mot on line for Friday 12th of April but half an hour later realised I had a hospital appointment on the calendar. I phoned Southam Tyres immediately and a gentleman rebooked me for Monday 15th. Around 10am on the 12th (the date I had booked on line and before I went for my hospital appointment)I received a call from someone on the desk demanding to know why I had not arrived from my service etc. No amount of me telling this rude individual that the date had been changed and someone must not have passed on the message. As i had already paid for the work we agreed for the work to be done on the 18th. I have had both of our cars serviced etc at Southam Tyres for a good many years but this will stop.”
“Booked car in for MOT and wheel alignment check, (Groupon currently have a voucher for this). When I dropped the vehicle off I was informed that if the alignment was out they could adjust it and the cost of doing so. I asked them to just let me know if it was out.
Returned after 1 hour and all done. Car passed with no advisories, there were no hidden charges or unnecessary faults found. Wheel alignment was slightly out but as I requested they had not adjusted it.
