“Booked our car in for new boots against the advice of my son who lives in Harolds Tyres. Was given an 0800 appointment on the Saturday (we were driving south to catch a flight) and turned up at 0740 to be sure.
Another customer was there at the same time, who was having his tyres fitted that he had purchased from Black Circles.
Somewhat surprised (and frustrated) that they put all available staff onto the Black Circles customer and that, despite buying tyres through Harold's and having specifically made an appointment for first thing, I was made to wait until the other car was done. This meant that we were then 'pushing it' to catch the flight.

If this is their business model then it is doomed to failure.

No issues with the quality of work or the people doing it, but just the general ethos and lack of staff on a Saturday.”

It was welded quickly and when I asked how much, I was told that it was a small job and no doubt I would be in again sometime. That reminded me that my tyres needed checking. “Front counter staff were not particularly interested. There was clearly an issue between the front desk and a member of staff. Unfortunately that member of staff ended up dealing with my car. I had ordered 2 tyres and tracking. Due to feeling ill at ease with situation I kept an eye on what was happening to my car. I noticed that he did not do the tracking. He returned and handed the keys to the front counter staff and at this stage I immediately queried the tracking. He said that he hadn't done it and the front counter staff member then rebuked him telling him it was on the order slip. He then went and completed the tracking.
Had I of not witnessed that my tracking has not been done I do not have the confidence that it would have been noticed and I would have paid for a service what had not taken place.”

The usual careened attention to detail I felt was laking. Even the locking wheel nut was not returned to the right place. If you can't even get that right, what else might not be put in the right place? It matters.”
