Outline of the Job:

To gain new business and retain current Motor Codes subscribers

To promote and market Motor Codes business benefits to subscribers

To develop and deploy a strategic approach to subscriber retention and customer relations

To sustain positive business relations with external stakeholders

What the Job involves

  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy in line with business planned objectives and growth aspirations.
  • Secure new subscriber business and increase sales of products and services.
  • Identifying new, appropriate sales opportunities for products, services and alternative revenue streams
  • Development of promotional materials to support recruitment/retention and network marketing activity
  • Establish and implement a robust customer relationship management system
  • Create a customer focused culture throughout the business
  • Contribute to the development of the Motor Codes web site and use to drive sales, customer support and marketing activity

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to communicate with garage and group operators
  • Goal driven mentality that ensures successful delivery of objectives
  • Ability to work on own initiative, sufficiently driven and self policing
  • A strong personal presence and effective influencing skills

Competencies

  • Marketing initiatives/approaches that have delivered strong sales returns
  • Successful manager of people and process who operates well within a small team
  • Ability to develop project plans with attention to strategic deployment detail
  • Ability to develop long term relationships with subscribers and stakeholders

Experience

  • Working experience within the motor industry
  • Successful track record within B-B sales function(s)
  • Specific experience within the independent garage sector would be beneficial
  • Working knowledge of the new car and franchised dealer sector
  • Excellent track record of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery
