Even if my MOT has been extended by six months, can I still get my car tested prior to the expiry of the new deadline?

Yes, according to the latest guidance from Government, it is possible to voluntarily get your car’s MOT carried out sooner, even if the MOT exemption applies to your vehicle. It’s also important to remember that you can get an MOT up to a month (minus a day) before your certificate runs out, and the same renewal date can also be kept.
